Gatwick is the UK's second busiest airport and after Heathrow airport the second busiest airport regarding passengers volume. It is situated 45.7 km south of London and 5 km north of the centre of Crawley. It has two North and South terminals having shops and restaurants and it is considered to expand in the third terminal. The two major airlines of this airport are BA and Easyjet. It has two runways but mainly one runway is in use and second runway (northern) is only used when main runway is out of use due to maintenance or accidents.
